Risky is The New Safe

I don’t normally devote blog posts to book recommendations, but I have one for you today.

It’s not a book on spiritual or personal development, however.

It has nothing to do with Busting Loose, the tools, Truth, Consciousness, or The Teachings I normally discuss.

But it has important content regardless … from a more “mainstream” or “earthbound” perspective.

It was written by my friend Randy Gage and is called Risky Is The New Safe.

Randy asked me for an endorsement quote for the book. This is what I wrote and how I feel about it:

“I divide learning into 2 categories: Direct Learning and Collision Learning. Direct learning is when someone says ‘X’ to you and ‘X’ is valuable. Collision Learning is when someone says ‘X’ to you, ‘X’ makes you think of ‘Y’ and ‘Y’ is valuable to you.

Randy’s book offers HUGE opportunities for both forms of learning (which is rare) on topics that are absolutely critical at this point in history. I recommend it highly.”

This is a different kind of book for a different kind of thinking.  It’s a thought-provoking manifesto for risk takers.

Disruptive technology, accelerating speed of change, and economic upheaval are sweeping through what I call “Story Space.”  The old ways of thinking and doing things don’t work like they once did. There’s an opportunity for something new and Randy offers some fascinating and compelling suggestions.

Like me, Randy is a renegade who dares to fly in the face of “the same-old-same-old” with aggressiveness and force, so be prepared for that!

How Much Of “The Real You” Is Expressing Itself In Your Life?

Here’s a quote I saw the other day:

On my journey, I’ve had a lot of personal experience with dynamics like this.

Sometimes, having everything “taken away by life” appeared in my imagination when a series of events looked like they’d lead there but never actually did.

At other times, I actually did “lose everything” that part of me was attached to, part of me thought was important and necessary to my happiness, etc. — but was actually the opposite, as the quote above suggests.

Many people, Phase 2 Players using the Tools, have been through similar dynamics — imaginary “losses” and actual “losses.” For Phase 2 Players, “The Real You” means, in simple terms, what’s left after The Cloud Cover is knocked out.

When we go through such experiences of apparent loss, we tend to see it as “bad news” and we feel desperate to stop what’s in motion and keep things as they are.

What I’ve discovered, however, is that the only thing that really matters, the only thing that really means anything, the only thing that ultimately brings True Happiness and fulfillment, is allowing The Real Me to reveal itself and for the daily details of my story to be re-configured to align with The Real Me.

How about The Real You and your life story?

Is it possible that what makes you most uncomfortable right now, what you’d most like to change, fix, improve, or stop is supporting you in peeling away the layers of what’s NOT The Real You so The Real You can be revealed and express itself?

Hmmm …

Please Like and/or Tweet this post and share it with everyone you feel could have more of Their Reel Selves expressing in their lives.

I’d also love to hear your comments!

What Makes The Bars Of Your Cage So Strong

I can’t recall where  this came from, but the message is very important and I wanted to share it with you.

Bars, of course, means “The Cloud Cover”:
